The Mobberley Frontline Family Fun Day takes place next Saturday 21st Aug between 10am and 4pm at the Mobberley Methodist Church on Faulkner’s Lane.
The event is a tribute to all of the frontline workers as a way of saying thank you for their dedication during the Covid-19 pandemic.
There will be displays from Cheshire Police (Local policing team, dog team, rural crime and drone team) , Cheshire Fire and Rescue, RNLI, St John’s Ambulance, Knutsford First Responders and Christie’s and invites have been extended to many frontline workers locally including the very worthy team of Mobberley Covid-19 Support Group Volunteers who helped to keep many local families fed, watered and medically cared for as well as offering a friendly voice.
There is something for everyone and the day promises to be a great way to come together as a community and for us to say thank you to everyone who made sacrifices during the past 18 months to care for and look after others. This event is open to all our neighbouring villages and towns and you will be made most welcome.
We have Tatton Perk providing the beverages and “Heddy Delivers” to keep us all fed. Mobberley cakes and Mobberley Ice-cream are also attending for something a little sweet.
There is onsite parking available (not in the usual church car park so please follow signs).
More info can be also found on the website www.Mobberley.org.
We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
As I write this, I know that there are many churches that have seen a huge drop in income during
this last year. This includes our own. So let me firstly thank each and every person who has been
faithful in giving during this time.
However our income is drastically down on last year’s figures and we are surviving on our reserves.
Please can I ask you to prayerfully review your giving, and help us recover?
Think about becoming a regular online giver, and perhaps gift aiding your offering so that we can resource our church.
Please click the link and let us know if you are able to help. Thank You
Over the last couple of years we have been exploring the possibilities of a redevelopment project so that our buildings can not only be safe but also be fit for purpose to help us achieve our church vision. Vision 25 is an ambitious project to upgrade the church, and needs to raise just under £1 million to provide a truly community focused space.
