Mobberley Methodist Church - A Church Without Walls
Become part of an exciting chapter within the history of Mobberley Methodist Church. We have a new, diverse and ever-growing church community which is filled with the desire to share fellowship in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a Church Without Walls we invite all people, with or without faith to attend one of our services, where you will receive a friendly and warm welcome.
‘As I write this, I am remembering the many people who have become our friends, encouraged us in ministry and helped us as we transitioned from South Africa to our new home in England. We will always be filled with gratitude and we celebrate each and every one of you.
My decision to resign has been a tremendously difficult one and is a consequence of recent decisions of the Methodist Church. Following Conference, I was truly grieved in my spirit and so I had to take a decision to stay and challenge these decisions, or move on. Through much prayer, I felt that the Lord was indeed calling me out of the Methodist church. However, I truly pray a blessing on the incredible work of this Circuit and especially on the team at Mobberley Methodist Church as they continue with Vision25.
As we move to King’s Church, Frodsham, we hope to continue with the ministry and relationships
that we have in three ways:
Friendship - there is an old song which has the words “friends are friends for ever, if the Lord’s
the Lord of them” and we offer our continued friendship, and hope that you will keep in contact,
as together we find ways of building the Lord’s kingdom.
Prayers - I will honestly continue to pray for the work of this Circuit, and for the people who are
growing in the Lord. As a minister, we do get to move from place to place, but we never stop
praying and caring for our brothers and sisters in the faith and we hope you will continue praying
for us too.
Teaching - Covid has given me the opportunity to develop many online teaching resources, and I
know these have been helpful to some folk. Things like ‘The Morning Brew’ will continue, but will
be accessed on my new website: www.revscottbiblecoach.org where you can also subscribe to
updates. I will continue to share these on my Facebook and YouTube pages too. I have many
plans to develop this work further, and would value your support and wisdom.
So, let me close by saying that as a family we leave with no regrets and with many great
memories. When I came into the ministry, I agreed to follow the Lord wherever He leads me. I
want to be right in the middle of His blessing, and to do this means I must be faithful to His call.
At this time he has called me to Frodsham to minister in the Free Methodist Church.
I would like to invite you and pray that you can join me at my farewell service at 6pm on Sunday
21st November at KMC and my last services at Mobberley, Snelson and KMC on 28th November.’

Over the last couple of years we have been exploring the possibilities of a redevelopment project so that our buildings can not only be safe but also be fit for purpose to help us achieve our church vision. Vision 25 is an ambitious project to upgrade the church, and needs to raise just under £1 million to provide a truly community focused space.
